New Spring Wreath

Welcome Spring!  We have some unseasonable warm weather this week.  I'm afraid our 80 degrees is going to go back to 50 or 60, but we are enjoying it while it is here.  This is a little project I have been working on.

A new spring wreath for my door.  I have seen a couple I like on pinterest and decided to mimic them.  Basically I took an old wreath that had the green flowers all over it, but was loosing the flowers and tore it apart.  It had a foam circle underneath.  I wrapped it in burlap that I had cut in strips and then bought some flowers to make it spring like.  Wa-la!  I love it.

Here is one I saw for Valentine's day, but if you changed the fabric holder it could be anytime of the year.  This one is made with packing twine rather then burlap.  I like the look too.  Here is the where I got the idea from Craftaholics Annonymous.

Spring is at my house too.....

{at least I think it's coming} you wouldn't know it after the last two gloomy days.

I also needed to update my Valentines Wreath and followed Amy's directions {see last post} the only difference is I bent my hanger into an oval {more of an egg shape}.

I have lots of new spring projects to post...just have to wait for some sun so I can get some good pictures.

I Can't wait for spring!! I NEED the sun!

Welcome Spring!!!

I guess I am trying to get some more of those warm winter days around here and ward off the snow.  I needed to change out the Valentine wreath and this was the perfect spring/easter wreath to make.  Again I only used scraps around the house and it was done in less then an hour.  {It might have taken me longer since I was talking and helping some friends sew up birthday banners.}
Easy as pie - all you need is scraps of fabric cut at 1" by 6", tulle cut at about 3" by 6" and a wire hanger bent into a circle.  Then tie, tie, tie until your done.  {Same as Valentine wreath}

Enjoy!!  And look we have sun!!!
